Sale of Medicines in JAKs

Department of Pharmaceuticals Sale of Medicines in JAKs प्रव तथ: 07 AUG 2026 2:59PM by PIB Delhi Under Pradhan Manri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), total sales at Maximum Retail Price

(MRP) amounted to ₹ 4274.66 crore during last two financial years. The details are as under:- S. No. Financial year Sale (₹ in crore)

2. 2025-26 2252.19 As on 30.06.2026, a total of 77 Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) have been opened in Himachal Pradesh. Of these, 21 and 3 JAKs have been opened in the Kangra and Chamba districts respectively. The district-wise number of JAKs opened is at Annexure.

The scheme's product basket includes 315 surgical items, medical consumables, and medical devices.

Their maximum retail prices (MRPs) are approximately 50% to 80% lower than those of comparable leading branded products.
