Posted On: 13 APR 2026 7:08PM by PIB Mumbai Mumbai, 13 April 2026 Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, who passed away on 12th April, 2026 at the age of 92, was laid to rest with full state honours in Shivaji Park, Mumbai today. President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu; Vice President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan; Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi; and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, along with eminent personalities from the music fraternity and other spheres of society, condoled the demise of the legendary singer.
Condoling the singer’s demise, the President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu said that an era has come to an end with her passing and that her voice will live on in the hearts of millions.
