NOTIFICATION The draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka State Police Including Ministerial Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2004, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of

Section 3 read with section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) is hereby published as required by clause(a) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the said Act for the information of persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion, which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above will be considered by the State Government. Objections and suggestions may be addressed to the Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Home Department, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore-560 001.

DRAFT RULES

1. Title and commencement.-(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka State Police including Ministerial Services (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final Publication in the official Gazette.

2. Amendment to the schedule.- In the Karnataka State Police including ministerial Services (Recruitment) Rules, 2004, in the schedule,

(i) in the entries relating to the category of post of “Sub-Inspector of Police (Civil) (Men and Women)” at serial No. 10, in column No.(6), under the heading “minimum qualification”, under the sub-heading, "for promotion", in the proviso for the words “five years” the words “four years” shall be substituted.

(ii) in the entries relating to the category of post of “Armed Reserve Sub-Inspector of Police” at serial No. 18, in column No.(6), under the heading “minimum qualification”, under the sub-heading, "for promotion", in the proviso for the words “five years” the words “four years” shall be substituted.
